But, we’ve done our best to adapt and adjust: turning lounges into classrooms, kitchens into offices and garages into home gyms – and we’ve done a good job of it! This year, we refine and perfect what we’ve started, ensuring that wherever you call home, it’s a comfortable and multi-functional living space. Spring is a symbol of new beginnings, fresh approaches and blossoming ideas, and while there may be some areas of our lives that will need to wait, at least we can get our living spaces spring/ summer ready – and Woolies is here to help you move with the trends!

The 2021 spring summer homeware range from Woolworths brings an amalgamation of colours and themes, encapsulating all the trends of the season while supporting the current norm, allowing you to embrace all sides of your inner decorator.

Home is our safe place, so comfort and cosiness are paramount. Colours are natural and earthy, drawn from nature, and shapes are rounded and cocooning. Fabrics that are durable, wear well, and can be washed multiple times will be more important as we spend more time at home for work and learning, and Woolies continues its endeavour to bring you responsibly sourced, sustainable fabrics.

An eclectic colour palette shows us pops of brazen blue in shades of indigo, ocean hues and cobalt, adding more subtlety with nuances of aqua, and moving into quiet waves of fresh mint and a hint of tropical forest. Pistachio, soft sage and lichen green add a softer touch to an otherwise brilliantly bold palette. Warm, summer tones are equally big this year. Picture buttercup and zesty yellow, and citrus-inspired cantaloupe and tangerine, with soft touches of peach and elevated coral. No colour palette is complete without a perfectly sensible, classic base of neutrals. Light silver and charcoal work with oatmeal and vanilla to bring it all together.

Springtime means colours and designs that inspire a light-hearted mood; and classic shapes and patterns that add a sense of clean, modern chic. There’s a natural feel to Woolies’ scatters this year – oversized leaves and dried flower posy prints inject a delicate ambiance to your home, while retro stripes and geometric shapes create a more contemporary aesthetic.

These colours and patterns are seen across Woolies spring summer homeware range for 2021. Ocean-inspired, food-safe melamine crockery is ideal for outdoor entertaining and made from 100% BPA-free melamine glassware. The kitchen is the heart of the home, but lines between outdoors and the kitchen blur, with meals that can be prepared and enjoyed moving from inside the home, out. 100% BCI cotton and polyester outdoor seat pads and cushions in varying patterns, themes and colours set the scene for the ideal staycation.

Roasters, cast iron griddle pans, jaffle irons and stainless-steel utensils with soft touch handles are some exciting new additions to our braai range. High heat retention properties allow the cast iron range to be used on all heat sources, including an open flame. Oh, and pizza, anyone? The pizza stone and paddle will help you create the perfect pie.

Investing in some time out from the “always-on” culture in which we work and live is a must, so if you’ve had a little too much of time at home and gradually move towards safely venturing out, know that Woolies has you covered for that quick trip to the beach, with picnic blankets, vibrantly coloured beach towels made from 100% BCI cotton, and net beach bags, paired with a microfibre towel.

And if you feel your kitchen tools could do with an upgrade, Woolies has launched two beautiful new ranges of cookware. Made from aluminium, our Marbleised range of pots and pans are non-stick and reinforced with quartz mineral particles, for allowing quick heat distribution and the effortless release of foods while cooking. They are metal utensil safe – so none of those nasty scratches – and fitted with soft touch, easy grip handles which are also induction compatible.

Made in Italy, the Diamante range is also made from aluminium, with synthetic ‘diamond’ particles reinforced into the non-stick surface, giving it increased hardness. They’re also resistant to metal utensils, energy saving and induction compatible. And the pans even have a temperature indicator on the handles!

For indoor dining, block shaped patterns, and primary and pastel colours come together with Modena two toned bowls and mugs. Bursts of colour, bold shapes, textures and patterns are what dominate the range. Luxurious velvet, faux fur and fleece scatters add an unexpected twist to what one would expect from a spring/ summer collection, but these sumptuous fabrics supply drama and texture; while oversized leaves and florals bring in an equatorial feel.

Bring the outside in with Woolies’ impressive selection of indoor and outdoor plants.
