With PICHULIK\u2019s FW21 Circe Collection we invite women to gather at our fireside. We sit cross-legged in a circle, and quieten the chaos of the modern world. We invite stillness, the luminous quality of myth, and all that is mysterious, holy, and power into our lives.
Derived from the Greek verb \u2018kirko\u00f4\u2019, meaning \u2018to secure with rings or links\u2019, Circe references the binding power of nature and connection. Each jewellery piece explores the motif of linkages and connection, interlocking circles and chains. Polished brass connectors link ropes of varying thickness and colour. The Ithaca earrings hold the comfort of home; the Aisa earrings, the wonder of destiny; the Calypso earrings, the power of immortality; the Eos pendant the promise of dawn. Shapes are repetitive and organic, mimicking nature and architectural forms. In the Calypso earrings, a sprig of amorphic-shaped rope seems to be growing like sage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Moonflower earrings resemble the stamen of a flower. The Lionheart earrings arch like a shield or an aqueduct.
The color palette is natural, terra firma – an ancient ruin, unearthing artifacts of rust, terracotta, and taupe. Gemstones of jade and obsidian are combined with lava in black and clay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
